December is nearly upon us, which means it's nearly time to finally, deservedly, get some cocoa boiling and holiday decorations up. A new month also means a whole new slate of shows and movies to watch on Prime Video. Some of that content will be available on December 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.

　　Season 3 of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan will hit the streaming service on December 21. The next batch of episodes sees the titular CIA agent wrongly accused of treason, and on the run from his own government as he races against the clock to stop a global catastrophe. These episodes should both be pretty pulse-pounding and manage to set a lot of things up, as earlier this year it was announced the show would end after Season 4, and a spin-off starring Season 3 newcomer Michael Peña as Ding Chavez is in development.

　　Or, if you're looking for more good guys vs bad guys content, on December 1 Prime Video will be home to all 12 seasons of NYPD Blue. The popular procedural explores the struggles of the fictional 15th Precinct detective squad in Manhattan. Taking on all 261 episodes is a worthy project to consider for December, and much like any other yesteryear series binge, the show brings in plenty of surprise cameos and small appearances from actors who later made it huge. In its time, NYPD Blue generally received strong review from critics, regularly praised for its grittiness and realistic portrayal of the police's personal and professional lives.
