Fortnite has already been available on Nintendo Switch for months, but Nintendo will offer a special bundle promoting the wildly popular battle royale game next month. Available starting on October 5, the Nintendo Switch: Fortnite - Double Helix Bundle includes the system, game download, and some special gear for use in the game--including a special skin.
The Double Helix Set that comes packaged in the bundle includes a unique outfit, back bling, glider, and pickaxe, along with 1,000 V-bucks that can be used to purchase a Battle Pass for extra in-game items. The whole bundle is priced at $300 USD, the same price as a standard Nintendo Switch console.

Now Playing: Fortnite Update 5.41 Adds Spiky Stadium, Port-A-Fortress; Switch Bundle Announced - GS News Update
Given that Fortnite is a free-to-play game, and the console bundle doesn't have any kind of special Fortnite color scheme, the real added value is the in-game freebies. A thousand V-bucks is valued at roughly $10, and the extra character items are a little extra bonus on top. That puts this bundle roughly in-line with other recent bundle announcements, like the Smash Bros. Ultimate Bundle and Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee Bundle. Both of those cost roughly the same as a system plus their respective game, and they include a little added value with special paint jobs.
It’s a bundle royale! A #NintendoSwitch #Fortnite bundle including special in-game items and 1,000 V-Bucks will make the jump into stores on 10/05. https://t.co/5049PRWbjr pic.twitter.com/qoraUQA5DO
