During a special Kojima Station video broadcast on Thursday, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima released some new footage of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The brief gameplay video--it's less than a minute long--focuses on Quiet, a controversial female character in the game.

　　Writing on Twitter, Kojima apologized for how short the teaser was, and told fans they can look forward to the Tokyo Game Show later this month to learn more about the game. This year's TGS runs September 18-21, and GameSpot will be reporting live from the show.

　　Quiet has been a contentious character. Responding to criticisms about her appearance, Kojima had this to say back in September 2013: "What I'm really trying to do is create unique characters. One of those is, of course, Quiet. She's a really unique character. I wanted to add that sexiness to her. It wasn't really supposed to be erotic, but sexy."

The open-world game, a sequel to March's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, but it doesn't have a release date yet.

　　Earlier today, Kojima also teased a "Metal Gear Collection 2014," though further details are not available.
