New information reveals the EU tie-breaker will be broadcast
New information reveals the EU tie-breaker will be broadcast-October 2024
Oct 21, 2024 11:11 PM

This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.

A post from Riot today clarified a muddled situation after two separate sources indicated that the EU tie-breaker would not be broadcast. This has been rebuked as false via lolesports.com.

The brief post states "The event will be commentated by Deman and Quickshot and you will be able to watch all the games here on lolesports.com."

Some back and forth also appeared from Trevor 'RiotQuickshot' Henry and Olivier 'Olly' Debeuf.

This is a lesson to everyone, 'leaks' and 'insider info' without sources and proof = BS. Isn't that right @ODebeuf pic.twitter.com/NC4Flwssjb

@RiotQuickshot when two managers of the competing teams claim that the games are not streamed, I'd say that's a good source.

It is not clear if the games will be broadcast live, or will be rebroadcasts from earlier in the day. The matches start at 17:00 CET (or 5 p.m.), which means the broadcast in the U.S. starts at 8 a.m PST, 10 a.m CST, and 11 a.m EST.

onGamers initially reported that the games would not be broadcast. We regret the error.
