Square Enix has released a new Hitman trailer titled "World of Assassination." As the name implies, the trailer asks viewers to take a closer look at what's happening in the shadows, lays out the various instances of violence happening around the world, and explains the resulting effect it has.
For example, the trailer starts in Morocco, where a banker meets his end, a general loses his credit, a riot burns out, two men die, and the domino effect ends with a military coup being averted.
"Read between the news feeds, follow the money, join the dots," the trailer says. Watch the trailer above, it's pretty stylish.
On January 14, Square Enix and developer Io Interactive announced Hitman will be "fully episodic" instead of being a full game at launch, as previously indicated.
The game will be split into episodes that are released over the course of the year. The prologue and first mission are still planned for released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 11, but the other content previously promised for launch--the Italy and Morocco missions--are now coming later. The Italy mission will be released in April, followed by Morocco in May.
Hitman arrives across PS4, PC, and Xbox One in March 2016. The game was originally slated to launch in late 2015 but was delayed so that developer IO Interactive could add more content.
The Hitman beta will begin on PS4 on February 12. The PC beta will then begin on February 19. You can guarantee access to the beta by preordering Hitman.
