Following last month's news that over a million GBA SP consoles had been sold in North America and that onyx-black and flame-red consoles were being released to commemorate the success, Nintendo of Europe has today--exactly one month later--made an almost identical announcement. Since its European launch on March 28, over a million GBA SP consoles have been sold across Europe, and so a further two colors of GBA SP are going to be launched on October 24 alongside the three already on sale.
The two new GBA SP colors for Europe, where the onyx-black version has been available since launch, are the same flame-red that will be available in North America in September and a previously unseen arctic-blue model. The new consoles are expected to retail for approximately 135 euros--the same price as the colored consoles already on sale.
