New Dreamcast Titles Shown-November 2024
Nov 1, 2024 6:38 AM

Yesterday, Sega showed off its third-party Dreamcast titles at the opening of Gamer's Day. But today, gamers got a glimpse of Sega's own games. Most of the day went by without much ado, but toward the end of the last presentation, Sega announced two previously unannounced games that are currently being developed for the next-generation console.

The games Sega unveiled were Virtua Striker 2, the Model 3 (and later, Naomi) soccer game and Power Smash Professional Tennis, both of which will be making their way to the Dreamcast. The games were actually running off a VCR, and it was clear that the Virtua Striker 2 footage was taken from the arcade unit. Neither game will be a launch title, and no firm release date was given.

Sega even showed off some footage of Crazy Taxi, the smash arcade hit. While officials made no comment that it would be porting the game over to the Dreamcast, the fact that Sega showed it off at all has to be a sign of some sort. As usual, we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything.
