Konami announced details today on Castlevania: Special Edition. Players will be able to take control of four different characters. You can play the director's cut version of the original Castlevania 64 by selecting Reinhardt or Carrie. The new scenario added are the other two characters, Kohnel and Henry.
Kohnel journeys to Transylvania when one of his friends betrays him and his sister gets abducted by Count Dracula. The story takes place eight years before the first game. One of Kohnel's special abilities is that he can transform into a werewolf. Konami has not released any information on the fourth character, Henry.
The game is now compatible with the Nintendo RAM pak for high-resolution graphics. It also has improvements over the camera angles and the controls as well. Castlevania: Special Edition is scheduled for an October release in North America, and a December 17 release in Japan.
