New Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Content Planned In 2017; Studio Head Hints At More Zombies-November 2024

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 might very well be getting new content in 2017. Exact details are unknown at this point but Treyarch’s co-studio head hinted at more Zombies content.

Treyarch hinted at the new Black Ops 3 content during a short livestream on Facebook earlier this week.

“I cannot say anything specifically at this point and time, but I can say that as Treyarch, we are excited about this game…and as long as they continue playing our game, we’re going to continue to support it in the same way”, co-studio head Dan Bunting said. “We can look forward to another healthy and fun year of updates in 2017.”

In the same stream, Treyarch’s Jason Blundell teased more zombies content, revealing that a new feature called “Newton’s Crookbook” will be coming to Black Ops 3 Zombies, though he stated that he can’t tell more at this point.

The fourth and final Black Ops 3 map pack, the Salvation DLC, arrived some months ago for all platforms.

Salvation features Revelations, the finale of the Origins Zombies saga.  In Revelations, this final chapter of the Zombies experience, Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai – having travelled through space and time – finally discover the identity of the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House.  As the heroes face-off against an ancient evil, they must hold the zombie horde back in the ultimate battle between human and undead.

Salvation also includes four new action-packed multiplayer maps set within the ancient walls of a medieval fortress, to the dusty streets of an old-west town.

“The team at Treyarch has worked tirelessly to make this an incredible year for Call of Duty: Black Ops III players and we hope fans have as much fun playing it as we had making it,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head, Treyarch.  “The release of Revelations has a great deal of sentimental value: it has been an adventure eight years in the making, and a very special journey that we’ve taken with our fans.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3.
