New Alan Wake 2 Behind the Scenes Video Gives You The Creeps in ‘The Dark Place’-October 2024
Oct 18, 2024 7:31 PM

Remedy Games has released the third video of its Alan Wake 2 behind-the-scenes series, featuring the game's actors and showing the frightful Dark Place.

Building up to the game's release this October, Remedy has released several videos for Alan Wake, including some trailers, gameplay videos, and behind-the-scenes videos. This new video features 'The Dark Place' - the surreal alternate dimension within the Alan Wake universe where Wake has been trapped for years. Truth be told, this alternate dimension gives me the creeps in a way that Stranger Things manages to with its Upside Down dimension. This new video also shows various actors, including the voice actor of Wake, Matthew Porretta, and the actor portraying Wake - Ilkka Villi. In addition, we see David Harewood as Mr. Door.

Check out the new Alan Wake 2 Behind-the-scenes video below and enter the 'Dark Place':

Alan Wake 2 launches worldwide on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 27. On PC, the game will support Path Tracing and DLSS 3.5. Want to learn more about this highly-anticipated sequel? Be sure to read our 'everything you need to know' article here.

After years of waiting, Remedy Games finally announced the sequel to 2010's Alan Wake back in December of 2021. "It's no secret that we have passionately pursued an opportunity to return to Alan Wake’s story for years", Remedy's Sam Lake said back then. "All that hard work has brought us here. The stars have aligned. It’s happening now, and we know the community is as passionate as we are about seeing Alan Wake’s next chapter unfold. Alan Wake 2 is our first ever survival horror game, a genre that lets us dive deeper than ever before into building an intense atmosphere and a twisted, layered, psychological story.”

According to the Finish studio, Alan Wake 2 is being developed by roughly 130 people and is the studio's toughest game to date.
