Neverwinter Nights, Infogrames' popular Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, held on to first place on NPD Techworld's latest weekly list of best-selling PC games. The game was developed by BioWare and released in mid-June. It features an extensive single-player campaign set in a medieval fantasy world, as well as an innovative dungeon master system that lets players create and run adventures for dozens of other players.

Fourth place went to Infogrames' family-friendly sports game Backyard Baseball 2003, followed by Grand Theft Auto III, Take-Two's violent urban action game that's anything but family-friendly.
