SAN JOSE, CA - On Tuesday evening at the infamous Booth Crawl, attendees got the chance to play the first network playable version of Rally 2 for Dreamcast in North America.
The graphics are already well known around the GameSpot offices with fast scenery, more splashing, more dirt, and the signature powerslides that made the original Rally for the Saturn so popular. In the combined Microsoft, Sega, and NEC booth, three consoles were lined side by side to allows floor attendees the chance to battle it out for Rally domination.
Guided to consoles by a racing-suit garbed aids, we took Rally 2 for our first ride against a networked opponent. The game doesn't seem to lose much flair with the networking option and the speed of competition didn't seem to slow down at all.
