Are you ready to get terrified again? The Haunting of Bly Manor officially has a premiere date. What's more, Netflix has also revealed the first teaser trailer for the series, which hails from The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan--and includes a notable star from that series.
All episodes of The Haunting of Bly Manor will be released on Netflix on Friday, October 9, just in time to add it to your spooky Halloween binge plans. If you don't have those yet, thankfully, GameSpot has you covered as we've already put together the best new horror movies streaming right now.
According to a series description, Bly Manor is "set in 1980s England. After an au pair's tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Hill House's Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew (Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) who reside at Bly Manor with the estate's chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (T'Nia Miller). But all is not as it seems at the manor, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn't mean gone."
The series is based on The Turn of the Screw, an 1898 novella by Henry James. Pedretti played Nell in the previous series, which was a major role.
If that's not creepy enough to get you excited for the next installment in the Haunting franchise, take a look at the trailer above for an idea of what to expect from the new season. And if you, somehow, never saw The Haunting of Hill House, what are you waiting for? That season of TV was named GameSpot's best TV show of 2018 and still gives us chills.
The Haunting of Bly Manor arrives on Friday, October 9.
