Given the profile of the royal couple, Netflix likely paid a pretty penny to sign them, and the story mentions that the couple was looking for a deal valued at around $100 million. Harry and Meghan also reportedly "quietly" spoke with Netflix rivals Disney and Apple before signing the deal with Netflix.

Queen Elizabeth II eventually gave the OK, and the couple are now living in Malibu. They just recently bought a $14.7 million compound in Montecito, California.
Before partnering with Harry and Meghan, Netflix teamed up with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for their own TV shows and movies for the platform.
