Vikings Valhalla, a spin-off of History Channel's Vikings, was revealed back in 2019. Since then, quite a bit about the show has been revealed, from the cast to the first tease about what to expect. Now, though, Netflix has pulled back the curtain on the series.
In a teaser trailer for Vikings Valhalla, Netflix introduced some of the major players you'll meet in the series, including Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett) and his brother Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson). The look at the series also displayed just how brutal and violent Valhalla is going to be, but also how epic in scale the series is--much like its predecessor. You can check out the video below.
Vikings Valhalla is set over 100 years after History's Vikings, so don't expect to see many familiar faces from the long-running series. After all, they're all likely dead. However, the new show will focus on some of the greatest Vikings from the historical record. Still, Vikings creator Michael Hirst is involved in the series as an executive producer, alongside Jeb Stuart, Morgan O’Sullivan, James Flynn, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, Sheila Hockin, and John Weber.
There's still so much we don't know about the series--like when it's going to actually debut on the streaming service. As soon as Netflix announced that information, though, we'll pass that information along.
