Former Team Liquid member, and founder of IXDL, Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam announced today on Reddit that the North American Elite League and European Elite League, a pick up game league using the IXDL client, would be revised to have shorter seasons.
The league would move from two month long seasons to one month long seasons. Ghannam would cite the following reasons:
"after talking with numerous players (and some feedback from the viewers), the general consensus is that one month seasons are superior to two month seasons because it allows players to win prize money more frequently, and keeps people interested and motivated as the league would start fresh more often."
Season tickets, which previously cost $4.00, will now cost $2.00.
