NBA Street Homecourt gets 'Melo
NBA Street Homecourt gets 'Melo-January 2024
Jan 12, 2025 8:32 PM

  Carmelo Anthony--the digital version.

Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo "'Melo" Anthony is entering only his fourth year as a professional athlete, but he's already a veteran when it comes to endorsements. The NBA superstar has formed a solid relationship with Electronic Arts, having been the cover athlete for NCAA March Madness during his rookie campaign in the NBA and for NBA Live 2005 during his sophomore stint.

That relationship continues this year, as EA today announced that Anthony will be the cover athlete for NBA Street Homecourt, the upcoming arcade-style basketball game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The news may not shock many, as the game's first trailer prominently featured Anthony and his hometown of Baltimore.

As the name of the game indicates, this latest edition of the NBA Street franchise concentrates on the courts where today's NBA stars honed their skills as local legends. In addition to the high-flying antics the series is known for, Homecourt features an all-new animation engine and control scheme.

NBA Street Homecourt has not yet been rated or priced and is scheduled to be available sometime next year.
