NBA 2K10 enters Draft Combine in September
NBA 2K10 enters Draft Combine in September-March 2024
Mar 19, 2025 9:27 AM

Last season, EA Sports did its part to build the March Madness hype, releasing NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition, a stripped-down, download-only version of the full game for Xbox Live. 2K Sports is taking a page from the same playbook with NBA 2K10. However, instead of capitalizing on playoff interest, the publisher instead has its sights set on preseason hype.

NBA 2K10: Draft Combine will be available exclusively through Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network in September for $5 (MSP 400). As its name suggests, the focus of Draft Combine will be on preseason training, with players given the ability to create their own players using more than 300 different attributes and options. Players can then be run through their paces, competing in a variety of offensive and defensive challenges.

More than just a series of minigame challenges, Draft Combine also lets players compete in five-on-five matchups. Players can earn rewards and skill points for competing in these exhibition matches, enhancing the ability of their created baller who can then be imported to the full edition of the game.

NBA 2K10 will tip off on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Wii, and PC on October 6. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
