EA announced shipment of NASCAR Revolution for the PC on Tuesday. The new racing title hopes to appeal to occasional racers or those who aren't afraid to get under the hood.

　　"This game blows the doors off the competition," said racing legend and NASCAR Revolution enthusiast Dale Earnhardt. "Dale Jr. has been playing to help him get the feel for what it's like to race on some of the tracks he hasn't been on yet, against all the top drivers and teams. We expect him to be as strong on the track this year as he is on the PC."

　　During development, EA Sports used motion capture to help give the title as realistic a look as possible and hired a stunt man and a NASCAR pit crew to help give the game technical direction. The pit crew in NASCAR Revolution isn't just a mere afterthought, members can mess up during pit stops which could cost you the race and other factors that happen from only being human.

　　Want to race as your favorite NASCAR driver? EA has modeled the driving styles of 31 drivers including favorites like Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, Darrell Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace. Revolution also includes 17 NASCAR sanctioned race tracks depicting Lowe's Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway and others.

　　In the audio department, EA employs the use of the Staccato Systems sound engine to recreate the roar of a NASCAR engine, gears, and sound of a wall racing past. EA has already launched a demo of the title and promises to support the title with addition game files, a paint kit, and downloadable car skins.

　　NASCAR Revolution for the PC comes with built-in support for 3Dfx's Voodoo2 accelerator along with other cards supporting Direct3D.
