Namco of Japan announced that the company will open a new game-development school with the help of Japanese multimedia, Internet school Digital Hollywood (DH). The new school will be named Namco Digital Hollywood Gamelab (Namco DHG), and it will recruit graduates from DH schools or other schools with DH credits. Students will be trained and taught game development specifically for the Sony PlayStation2.
The school campus located in Namco Yokohama Creative Center, which includes facilities for motion capturing. Instructors will come from Namco's development staff directly. Experienced staff members who worked on titles such as Tekken, Ridge Racer, Soul Calibur, and Ace Combat will be teaching students the required training and skills for future PS2 game development.
Namco Digital Hollywood Gamelab will be opening this April in Japan.
