According to Reuters, seven video game companies have officially filed to bid on 3DO's assets, which were freed up when the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on May 28. The companies that have filed are Microsoft, Ubi Soft, Eidos, JoWood, Namco, Turbine, and Crave. The list of 3DO assets currently up for sale includes all 3DO company assets, such as Street Racing Syndicate, Heroes of Might and Magic, High Heat Baseball, Army Men, Backlist, Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Jacked, Cubix, Johnny Mosley, and World Destruction, as well as various patent assets.

There has been no word on which specific assets the companies are interested in. We'll post more as it becomes available.
