Nam Tai Electronics, which recently announced that it has increased its production capacity for the EyeToy USB camera, has today confirmed that it has received a new order from Sony Computer Entertainment to manufacture the USB microphones and converter boxes for its upcoming PS2 singing game. Currently known by the working title "Sing," the game challenges players to sing along to a number of licensed music tracks and then provides them with feedback based on the pitch, tone, and rhythms of their performances.

　　"Besides manufacturing the EyeToy USB camera accessory for the PlayStation 2, we are very excited to be granted an opportunity to build USB microphones and the converter box accessory for such a sophisticated game," said Tadao Murakami, chairman of Nam Tai. "This is the second PlayStation 2 accessory that we will manufacture for Sony Computer Entertainment, proving the customer's continued confidence and recognition in Nam Tai's manufacturing technology and capability. With our continued diversification of our product mix and expansion of our services for OEM customers, we believe we are strengthening our competitive position within this fast-moving electronic manufacturing industry."
