Morrowind delay confirmed-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 5:33 AM

Bethesda Softworks has officially announced a new release date for its upcoming role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, confirming our 2815651previous report from earlier this month that the game had been delayed. The game had been scheduled for release this holiday season, but its release has been postponed until spring 2002. The new release date affects both the PC and Microsoft Xbox versions of the game.

Morrowind takes place in a detailed medieval fantasy world inhabited by a wide range of playable races, creatures, and monsters. The game's nonlinear single-player storyline will include a variety of different quests and subquests. The game uses an advanced 3D engine that is designed to compete with the latest first-person shooter engines, and it will include a complete world-building tool that will let players design, create, and use custom items, monsters, quests, and areas. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the game.
