Gathering of Developers has released two new screens from its upcoming online role-playing game, Shadowbane. The game is in development at WolfPack Studios, and it is scheduled for release later this year. Players can choose to play as one of 10 different races--humans, elves, dwarves, aelfborn, irekei, half-giants, shades, minotaurs, aracoix, and centaurs. There are also four different career paths to choose from, and players can make their character into a fighter, a healer, a mage, or a rogue. In addition to fighting monsters and non-player characters, the game is based in part on combat between groups of players.
The new screenshots show off some of the creatures and terrain found in the desert region. One shows a centaur fighting a giant scorpion, and another shows the interior of an Irekei temple.
