GameSpot has been able to uncover further details on the upcoming PlayStation 2 action-adventure game from Production IG. Contrary to our initial report, the game's final release title will drop the "Blood" suffix and will only be called The Last Vampire. Additionally, the company intends to rework the anime movie's storyline for the video game, planning to keep include only the movie's lead character, Saya, in the video game version. Although the game will still be based loosely on the movie, all the other characters and the plot will be entirely new in the game.
Production IG could not comment specifically on the gameplay, but the company did reveal that it is likely that Sony Computer Entertainment will handle the publishing duties for The Last Vampire for the PlayStation 2.
