TOKYO - In the latest issue of Japan's Weekly Famitsu, the release list for the Neo Geo Pocket has expanded and includes some interesting additions. Games like Samurai Spirits, Puzzle Bobble Special (known as the Bust A Move puzzle series in the US), Metal Slug, and Real Bout 2 are not big surprises.
The surprises are the addition of NFL Blitz, NBA Hangtime, and Mortal Kombat to the list. All of these will be released by SNK. There are no release dates for the games yet.
This information could be the first word we have on titles coming from American developers for the machine. The Neo Geo Pocket, according to a source at SNK, is slated to come to the US around April 1999. Since the Pocket can be used in conjunction with the Dreamcast, the connection would be obvious. Blitz and MK (number 4, anyway) have both been made official for the Dreamcast.
