TOKYO--Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing the second batch of games to its Xbox World Collection series in Japan. The collection consists of English-language titles packaged with a Japanese manual. While the games are have no Japanese dialogue or subtitles, they carry a price of only 4,800 yen ($43.89), some 1,000-2,000 yen ($9-18) less than average games sold in Japan.
Four titles are scheduled for release in the second batch of the Xbox World Collection: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, The Simpsons Hit & Run, Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, and Wakeboarding Unleashed featuring Shaun Murray. The titles will be released on December 25.
Microsoft previously released five titles in October, which were Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus, Inside Pitch 2003, NFL Fever 2004, Outlaw Golf, and Outlaw Volleyball. The company plans to release about 20 more titles for the Xbox World Collection by the summer of 2004.
