There's nothing like nurturing a young creature to maturity, forming a special bond with it, and sending it off into a life-or-death battle. That's the theory of Tecmo, anyway. The newest version of its monster-cultivating series, Monster Racher Evo, is headed to North America on April 11. The game, which has a decidedly more role-playing feel to it than previous games, stars Julio, a young circus performer who breeds monsters. In a turn that would make Dr. Moreau envious, gamers will be able to insert any CD, DVD, or PlayStation 2 game into their PS2 to create randomly generated monsters. The game has not yet been rated or priced.
