Monster Hunter World Switch “Can’t Be Done” On Nintendo Switch, But Entries In The Series Are Coming-September 2024

Monster Hunter World has been released earlier this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will finally release on PC in the coming months. Some fans have been holding hope that the game might release on Nintendo Switch, but it seems this will not happen.

In a recent Capcom Shareholders meeting, the Japanese publisher stated that Monster Hunter World "can't be done" on the Nintendo Switch, implying that a port will not be coming. Monster Hunter games, however, will be coming to the console in the future, with games that will be specifically made for the Switch.

  My translation of this tweet:

"Went to Capcom Shareholders Meeting, which went as expected. Regarding MH World, they said that it "can't be done on Switch," so it's futile to ask for a port. But, it appears instead that Capcom will proceed with MH made especially for Switch." https://t.co/OjmMQ6C133

During a shareholders meeting, Capcom said Monster Hunter: World "can't be done on [Nintendo] Switch." Implying the game won't be ported to the system.

However, executives did state that the company will proceed with developing MH games specifically designed for the platform. pic.twitter.com/OoBCk2SCEx

Back in May, Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter World has been a massive success, shipping 7.9 million units. Other Capcom games have been doing quite well on the market too.

In this business, the record-breaking success of Monster Hunter: World (for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) drove the increase in sales and contributed greatly to improved profit. Furthermore, in addition to Resident Evil 7 biohazard (for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC) and Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) Nintendo Switch Ver. (for Nintendo Switch) giving strong performances, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (for Nintendo Switch) became a smash hit.

Monster Hunter World is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in all regions. The game will release on PC before the end of the year.
