TOKYO - After finishing Zelda, Hall of Fame game designer Shigeru Miyamoto is quite busy doing interviews with various magazines and newspapers from around the world. Unfortunately for him, he can't have the vacation he deserves, but lucky for us, he's able to tell us snippets from behind the scenes.
In an interview with The 64 Dream, Mr. Miyamoto did mention something very interesting. When asked about his next project, he answered, "There was a plan to develop 1080 II, but it was tabled. Actually the team responsible for 1080 has started researching new hardware."
In this context, "new hardware" doesn't mean 64DD, but Nintendo's next console.
