Team Millenium are the champions of IEM Sao Paulo. After not losing a single map throughout the tournament, the EU LCS squad lead by Alvar 'Araneae' Martin Aleñar was undoubtedly the strongest force amongst all of the attending teams and performed up to the standard expected by them.
The subsequent stories of the tournament, however, came in the shape of two teams; oceloteWorld and paiN gaming, the first being an established branch of European solo-queue superstars along with their captain Carlos 'ocelote' Santiago Rodriguez, and paiN gaming being the sole Brazillian team in the top 4 of the tournament. The two met in the semi-finals, where paiN pulled out the upset over their established counterparts and eliminated oceloteWorld in a 2-0 sweep to reach the grand finals.
But the Brazillian's run ended at the finals, where Millenium claimed the $15,000 prizepool, and their direct invite to the IEM World Championship.
