Microsoft today launched a new Xbox One video advertisement on YouTube that touts the system's ability to deliver realistic graphics, but in a somewhat creepy way.
The video splices together Ryse: Son of Rome gameplay with footage of a man in his bathroom, who is frightened to discover he is bleeding, only to realize it's not real.
"If it was any more real, it would be real," the advertisement's narrator says.
The Xbox One launched in late November 2013 and has sold more than 3 million units so far.
Competitor Sony hasn't used any such freaky videos to promote the PlayStation 4, but gamers have probably not forgotten the creep way in which the company promoted the PlayStation 3 years earlier.
