Microsoft has announced "The Official European Halo 3 Tournament Sponsored by Samsung TV," to take place in living rooms across Europe from March 18 to 30.
Players will be competing for the chance to win a Samsung 40-inch HD display, an Xbox 360 Elite, and exclusive Halo 3 artwork--and can do it all from the comfort of their own sofas.
After signing up through the Xbox Live dashboard from today and obtaining a free GamerPic, players will need to compete in Slayer, King of the Hill, and Oddball game modes. At the end of the open play period (March 30), the top-ranked player from each country will be crowned Halo 3 National Champion and win some exclusive Halo artwork.
Following this, each national champion--14 in total--will compete in the European Final to determine who is the undisputed Master Chief, and the winner will walk away with the new Samsung telly…or more likely sit around and wait for it to be delivered to their door.
