During its E3 2016 press conference, Microsoft announced the new Project Scorpio, an enhanced version of the Xbox One that will be capable of running 4K native games and feature six teraflops of power. A few hours ago, the Head of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg talked about Project Scorpio and other related matters in a new podcast, sharing his excitement for the upcoming new console.
In the latest TXR Podcast, Aaron Greenberg has been asked about Microsoft's Project Scorpio. Greenberg mentioned that it's a really exciting project that's already receiving support from partners, such as DICE and Bethesda, and internal studios. While Greenberg didn't reveal anything really new on Project Scorpio, he did state that Microsoft is building a beast, and that they're very serious about ushering true 4K Gaming.
Greenberg also touched upon possible trade up deals for when the Project Scorpio will be out. Apparently, the team is more focused on getting support from developers and keeping players up to date with any development, so anything on the matter will only be announced at a later time, most likely close to release.
During the same podcast, Aaron Greenberg also talks about the soon to be released Xbox One S, which has received a great response, according to Greenberg, the reasons behind the creation of the new hardware launching next month, Microsoft's current marketing effort and much more. You can check out the full podcast below, with the segment regarding Project Scorpio starting at around the 40:00 mark.
