Microsoft has broken its silence on the upcoming X-Box platform in a rather unconventional way - the company yesterday registered the domain name www.xbox.com. The domain name was previously held by a private party, but Microsoft purchased it and has now registered it, making it available for use.

Bill Gates, chairman and chief software architect of Microsoft, will deliver the opening remarks at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Jose. It is rumored that Gates will deliver full details regarding the X-Box console during this presentation.
