This week's Epic Games Store freebies are Metro Last Light Redux, the acclaimed second installment in the Metro franchise made by 4A Games, and indie roguelike turn-based game For The King. Next Thursday they'll be replaced by the retro space strategy RPG Halcyon 6, so claim them before February 11th to ensure they're added to your library.
As a side note, Epic's free game promotions on the store were grabbed a grand total of 749 million times in 2020, and the company confirmed it'll keep giving away games throughout the entire 2021.
Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside... and within.
Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.
But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.
