Metro Exodus Goes Gold & Release Date Changed
Metro Exodus Goes Gold & Release Date Changed-September 2024
Sep 22, 2024 5:41 AM

In a surprising turn of events, considering what regularly happens in the games industry, the release date of a game has been changed. It's not that the game has been delayed, oh no! This is the twist. Metro Exodus, which was originally delayed and scheduled to be released on the 22nd of February, will now be released on the 15th of February for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

February is a highly competitive market, though it's starting to seem that the market is almost always competitive now. Metro, had it stuck to the 22nd, would have found itself competing with Anthem. Now, releasing on the 15th, it will find itself launching alongside Dead or Alive 6, Far Cry New Dawn and Crackdown 3.

Despite this, I have high hopes for Metro Exodus. I've played and previewed it twice now, having previewed both the E3 build and then the Gamescom build. I've specifically found it to have a strong mixture of open areas while narrowing the focus when necessary to push forward the story or introduce you to a core new element.

If my previously linked previews don't give it away, I'm looking forward to Metro Exodus. Likely a little too much as it's one of, if not my most anticipated game for 2019. All I can say is roll on February 15th where we get to explore a more expansive, immersive, post-apocalyptic Russia.
