Dreamcast owners definitely have some hit titles to look forward to next year Crazy Taxi, NHL2K, and Code Veronica, just to name a few. However, there are several big titles headed to the Dreamcast platform that have yet to be announced. In the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, the magazine reveals some potential big titles to look forward to next year. While these EGM speculations have not been confirmed by the respective publishers, insiders have given strong indications that they will happen.
Metal Gear Solid Sources inside Konami now indicate the game will come to the Dreamcast. Since Microsoft has the license to work on the PC version of Metal Gear Solid, it's also believed that the company has acquired the rights to release the title for the Dreamcast (using DirectX and Windows CE both of which are embedded in the console).
Die Hard Trilogy 2 Sources at Fox indicate that the company is interested in bringing Die Hard Trilogy 2 to the Dreamcast because of the strong sales of the gun peripherals and House of the Dead 2. A member of Fox was quoted as saying, They need another gun game for that system, this could be one of them.
Electronic Arts Apparently the decision makers over at EA were impressed with the Dreamcast launch, and have watched as the system's sales have remained strong. The company is now interested in porting a few major franchises from the PC. Announcements could come as early as the end of this month.
