Metal Gear Solid 5 Was Supposed to be Larger With a Deeper Plot Than it Was as Released-September 2024

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a large game with more to do than most people have time for anyway. It's also a fun game that's been hugely successful with both gamers and reviewers alike. It's just a great game.

But one thing that it might not have had when compared to it's predecessors is that of an epic and massively integrated storyline. But apparently there are signs of a lot more content than we got in the final release.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has a lot of hidden content alluding to a much larger game.

Some individuals over at Facepunch took a look inside the various files of the PC version of Metal Gear Solid 5 and uncovered quite a few unused assets and even found a title card amongst the data that was called Peace, making that a possible not released third chapter. But even more than that are some unused models, specifically of The Boss, who didn't make an appearance at all.

Asset discovered by "Fredrika"Now, of course, these being in there doesn't necessarily mean that any of it was meant to be in the final game. It could be that they were early ideas or concepts that just happened to not be cleaned up before compiling Metal Gear Solid 5 completely. It could also be that development was cut short, or even that there are plans for content-based DLC in the future. We simply don't know, though it is interesting that such leftover assets are still inside. They have to have known that some astute individuals were going to unlock these secrets.
