After a management buyout, Megamedia Australia has decided to change its name to Ellipse Studios. Besides the change in name and management, little else has been altered. The company retains the rights to Ancient Conquest and the still-in-development Submarine Titans, which was announced more than three years ago.
"We felt that as game development hasn't been the core focus for our parent Megamedia, and that as they are based in the US it was more appropriate to separate the studio entirely," said Raaj Menon, managing director of Ellipse Studios. "This way, the staff of Ellipse own the titles we are developing, and there are greater long-term rewards."
