Microsoft's twice-delayed Forza Motorsport, currently set for a May 3 release, will now be facing stiff competition on release day. Konami has announced that their driving sim, Enthusia Professional Racing, will also be released on May 3, pitting the two driving sims in a head-to-head battle. To further complicate matters, the American release of Gran Turismo 4 is set for next Tuesday, which means the Polyphony Digital-developed title will have a hefty head start in the sales race for driving supremacy.
Konami's decision to release their game on the same day as the higher-profile Forza is either an incredibly bold move on the company's behalf, indicating their confidence in the game's potential, or an incredibly foolish one, especially considering how little we've seen of Enthusia so far. On the other hand, while the game's features sound intriguing, especially the Visual Gravity System (see our updated hands-on impressions for the rundown), there's little denying the sheer beauty of the game's graphics, as evidenced by this batch of screens.
Do you think Enthusia has a shot against powerhouses like Forza and GT 4?
