Matrox has released eDualHead, a software enhancement for its DualHead graphics cards that's designed to let users take better advantage of multiple monitors while browsing. The eDualHead application enables three new browsing functions: PageWrap, which wraps a long Web page onto a second display; PageLog, which tracks users' browsing history in an independent window; and PageJump, which makes it easy to open a new browser window when clicking on a link. The software works directly with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and up.
The new software release also brings better multidisplay support to Windows 2000. With it, it's possible to run independent resolutions or color modes on multiple monitors. Windows 2000 doesn't otherwise permit this with graphics cards that drive two monitors from a single controller chip.
The eDualHead software works with select dual-monitor cards from Matrox, including the Millennium G450, Marvel G450 eTV, and Millennium G400. If you have a Matrox card, you can download eDualHead from Matrox's Web site or order it on CD.
