In a forum message posted over the weekend, the developer of Infogrames' recent Master of Orion III has confirmed that it has short-term plans for at least two patches for the game. The first patch will only make changes to some of the game's data files and is expected to be complete "fairly quickly." This patch will focus on updating various elements of the military AI (offensive, defensive, and build-queue behaviors were mentioned), which many have said isn't aggressive enough in the retail version. A second patch will make more substantial code changes, but specifics haven't been confirmed as of yet.
