Mass Effect Andromeda Patch 1.05 Includes New Denuvo Version – Report-October 2024
Oct 25, 2024 1:26 PM

It appears that the latest Mass Effect Andromeda patch includes a new version of Denuvo’s anti-tamper technology.

Although protected by Denuvo, Bioware’s latest Mass Effect installment was already cracked by warez group CPY within 10 days after the game’s release. At least, up to game version 1.04 as EA and Bioware have seemingly updated to a new version of Denuvo through Andromeda’s latest 1.05 update.

The evidence appears to have been spotted by eagle-eyed Reddit user “NTSTATUS”, who posted his findings some days ago. Apparently, Andromeda’s 1.05 updated executable file contains strings that are also present in Dead Rising 4 and NieR, both of which are using the latest Denuvo version.

An interesting find as this would imply that EA didn’t include the latest version of Denuvo’s anti-tamper technology with the day-one version of Andromeda. As many of you might know, the latest Mass Effect Andromeda update fixes a lot of the apparent facial animation issues that have been present since the game went live through early access back in March, and this DRM update seemingly excludes users of the pirated version from that important update.

Mass Effect Andromeda is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
