Martin 'Deficio' Lynge leaves NiP's coaching position, aims to pursue commentating fulltime-December 2024

This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.

After two seasons in the EU LCS, the Dane had had enough of competing, and wanted to serve his team as a coach/manager to bring NiP's form back for the upcoming relegation matches. However, disaster after disaster struck the team.

Whether it being them losing 0-3 in relegations to underdogs KMT or a flurry of roster issues, it all culminatied with last weeks unfortunate ending to their only chance to qualify for the upcoming Spring Split. After all of this, Deficio seems to have decided that he'd rather commentate than work actively in the competitive scene, and has today announced his departure from NiP.

I have decided to leave @NiPGaming in order to pursue a fulltime caster career. Will be casting my first game LCS game tmw with @Joe_Miller
