Mark Wahlberg And Kevin Hart Will Star In A Netflix Comedy Together-January 2024
Jan 21, 2025 11:17 PM

Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart are two of the biggest names in Hollywood, but they have never worked together. That's about to change, as sources told Deadline that Wahlberg and Hart will star in a new Netflix comedy called Me Time.

John Hamburg, who previously wrote the Kevin Hart movie Night School, is writing and directing Me Time. The story follows a stay-at-home dad played by Hart who finally gets some "me time" when his family is away. He uses the time to catch up with an old friend (Wahlberg) and they get into some hijinks that nearly "upends his life."

Me Time is part of Hart's deal with Netflix through his HartBeat Production that spans four movies. Netflix boss Scott Stuber said, "There are very few artists who can attract audiences of all ages and succeed in making comedies, dramas and family films. We're excited to partner with Kevin, and his great team at Hartbeat, to entertain our audience for years to come."

Hart's latest movie for Netflix was Fatherhood, which was released on the streaming service in June. The film was originally set for theaters until Netflix bought it during the pandemic. He isn't only making movies for Netflix, however, as Hart stars as Roland in the upcoming Borderlands movie.

As for Wahlberg, he's been in business with Netflix, too, as his 2020 movie Spenser Confidential was massively popular on the streaming service.
