Virgin Interactive and Titus Software announced that they have secured the worldwide publishing rights to Team 17's Worms World Party on the Dreamcast and the PC, and Stunt GP on the PlayStation 2.

　　This publishing deal follows the recent signing of Software 2000's prestigious Bundesliga Manager on the PlayStation 2 and PC and the collaboration between Virgin Interactive and car manufacturer Lotus. It demonstrates Virgin's commitment to securing a broad range of world-wide licensing, publishing, and co-production deals.

　　"Team 17 remains one of the best independent developers around, and we're proud that it has chosen Virgin and Titus as publishers on a world wide basis - in spite of the fact that they are Leeds United fans and come from Yorkshire," said Sean Brennan, chief operating officer for Virgin Interactive. "We'll be taking the incredibly successful Worms franchise to new depths with World Party, which is by far the best in the series. It will be one of the first massively multiplayer games available on the Dreamcast. Stunt GP is one of the most playable and original racing games around, and we'll be looking to establish that as a brand rather than a one-off title."
