The expansion is themed after the vast underground of Ixalan, one of Magic: The Gathering's many planes of existence. The Lost Caverns of Ixalan adds hundreds of new cards to the long-running TCG, and introduces new gameplay mechanics based around exploration, treasure-hunting, and item crafting.
