Earlier today it was announced that Team Liquid would be replacing LGD at the Dota 2 League finals in Las Vegas, Nevada next week. Hours later LGD remarked via their Weibo that there had been a communication issue, and that they had been replaced without being notified.
Good Game Agency COO Colin DeShong responded in a Reddit thread, attempting to absolve his organization of blame.
This is incorrect. Both Kingston (a sponsor of LGD) and we at D2L spoke with LGD's owner after they informed us of a wave of possible roster problems they were encountering. A decision was made and shared by both of us directly with the owner who acknowledged the ruling after it was decided that they couldn't commit their roster to the event (because of more reasons than one of their players having visa troubles).
I'm not about to come close to making this into a big issue or start rumors, nor will I comment on the conversation about rosters and replacements. All of it is documented and dealt with; we're moving forward.
