The defunct series Leisure Suit Larry showed signs of revival today when it was revealed that an eighth installment of the series might be in the works. The discovery came when Adventuregamers.com stumbled across the cover shot of next month's Computer Games, which featured a story about a new Larry title, named Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. (A capture of the cover is viewable on Adventuregamers.com, although the site was exceptionally sluggish, most likely due to high traffic.)
If it indeed is coming out, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude would be the first LSL game since the poorly received Leisure Suit Larry's Casino bombed in 1998. Details about the game were scant, but according to Adventuregamers.com, the title will bring back the diminutive lothario for an all-new bawdy adventure that will feature Grand Theft Auto-like free-roaming gameplay.
